Our Charities

The chosen charity in 2018 to receive 50% of the profits was The Apuldram Centre.  As always the other 50% goes to St Peter and St Mary Church, Fishbourne, to meet the costs of essential repairs.

Next years charity is yet to be chosen.  If you think you have a worthwhile charity that we can share the profits with please do get in touch.

The apuldram centre

The Apuldram Centre is an independent registered charity, working to support adults with learning disabilities, and has delivered services in Chichester and surrounding area for over 28 years. Their services include a dedicated Day Centre offering meaningful and enterprising daytime occupational activities such as: horticultural, both on and off site; woodwork; cookery and arts & crafts. They also support a number of people in the Chichester area to live independently in their own tenancies. They run a community outreach service, Hub Club, three times a week in central Chichester.  At their day centre they are developing a quiet room and would like to purchase a sofa where the people they support can relax and enjoy developing their literacy skills.  The money raised from the Literary Festival will go towards the purchase of this sofa to create a relaxing environment to snuggle up in with a good book.
